This is one of Irelands best examples of a grade 2 listed Georgian residence. Steeped in character and charm it is surrounded by the spectacular Murlough National Nature Reserve with the magnificent Mourne Mountains as a backdrop. It is a haven to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature as well as a wide range of outdoor activities on your doorstep.

Murlough Country House is the former Murlough Farm which sits on the shores of Dundrum inner bay. This beautiful period dwelling dates to the 1750’s being originally built as the land agents home overseeing the Downshire estate. This was on the site of a Jacobean dwelling. The house is steeped in history having once being quarters for American officers running a secret wartime aerodrome at Murlough. The new owners all have connections with the village and a passion to support the local economy. They engaged local companies and trades to complete the restoration work. Murlough Country House is a unique, quirky, boutique residence for special events. It will provide much needed additional accommodation to the increasingly ‘in vogue’ Dundrum Village, with the award winning Dundrum Inn, the Buckshead and Mourne sea food Restaurants.

Squid Shack Dundrum

This takeaway was featured by Tim Parker Bowles food critic for the Guardian in his top 10 seafood takeaways in the UK 2022. The name suggests sea food and squid is their signature dish but the serve a wide range of offerings. Dundrum Inn pub experience

The award winning Dundrum Inn is a great stop off on a walk to the village.

We can arrange for you to learn the tip to then pour a perfect pint of Guinness behind the bar. You learn the secrets of the glass cleaning and get to keep the glass as a souvenir. Of course they also have the Northern Irish Tayto cheese and onion crisps a perfect partner for your pint. This can of course be followed with dinner in the pub restaurant.
