“A wonderful weekend spent celebrating a family birthday. We were a group of varying ages and all needs were attended to. The house is pristine and has everything you could wish for. Kit was a very communicative host ensuring we were kept informed of all details and all our requests were met. The Christmas tree and decorations were delightful, so too the welcome goodies for adults and kids. Would have no hesitation in recommending this property full of charm and character!”

We were fortunate enough to be visiting County Down to celebrate our daughter’s wedding and we have had the best time ever- Murlough Country House was a wonderful find and we have marvelled at its history, enjoyed the many interesting features and been amazed that it still has all the ‘mod cons’- great heating, plentiful hot water, modern bathrooms and such a well equipped kitchen. Kit has been an amazing host- so responsive and accommodating and she really made a big difference, What a beautiful venue for our bride and her bridesmaids to get ready in and then depart from to the wedding venue. “We had a phenomenal time at MCH! It is an absolutely stunning house with everything you could want for a weekend away with friends. A lot of attention and detail has been paid to the décor, meaning that every room is beautiful. Kit was a very helpful and friendly host, and the Welcome Pack contained lots of detailed information which I was very grateful for. She was great at communicating and was only too happy to answer any questions I had. The location is fantastic as the beach is so close (Unfortunately the weather was a bit chilly for swimming) and we had a delicious takeaway dinner from Scoper’s one evening. Our only negative is that we weren’t staying for longer! I would definitely book this accommodation again.”

“What a wonderful house and gardens in a beautiful environment. Kit has thought of absolutely everything to accommodate adults and children alike. The information provided is superb and it is obvious that a lot of thought and consideration for guests had gone into this wonderful project. “We had the best stay at Murlough Country House. Our two families came together to celebrate, and it was the perfect space! We were all in awe of the interior design and just how intentional every decoration was. The bedrooms were so well stocked with toiletries and the most comfortable beds. We were able to enjoy all of the reception rooms and felt the house was extremely well equipped with everything you might need. The walk through to Murlough Bay is a great way to spend your afternoon if you are staying for a few days. I honestly couldn’t recommend staying here more! We will be returning as a family sometime in the near future.”
